SUMMARY:Crisis and Trauma Resource Institute: Trauma-Informed Care: Building a Culture of Strength – 6 CEC
DESCRIPTION:Trauma is prevalent in our world and has an impact on many of the people we interact with\, including those who engage with our organizations. Compassionate and trauma-informed care is essential to providing effective support and building sustainable services. Based on our book\, A Little Book About Trauma-Informed Workplaces\, this workshop explores five key principles to integrate a trauma-informed approach throughout the organization. By embracing these principles\, participants can better contribute to the positive transformation of individuals and relationships affected by trauma. Becoming trauma-informed creates a sustainable foundation in any setting to promote strength\, engagement\, and healing. \nPlease note: This workshop does not provide training related to trauma counselling. If that is what you are looking for\, please check out our workshop\, Trauma – Counselling Strategies for Healing and Resilience. \n\nCTRI provides training (in-person and online)\, consulting\, books\, and free resources in the areas of trauma\, mental health\, counselling skills\, and violence prevention. At the heart of our training materials and resources is a belief that everyone should be trauma-informed. We hope that the impact of our work ripples out into the world\, inspiring learning and improving lives.

SUMMARY:JTI Hosts: Council of State Governments: Supporting Crisis Stabilization for Youth and Young Adults During Reentry
DESCRIPTION:Research shows that youth with behavioral health needs are significantly overrepresented in the justice system\, with nearly 70 percent having a diagnosable mental health disorder. This highlights the importance of effective case planning for youth and young adults. This work provides guidance for justice professionals on how to better engage\, collaborate\, and partner with systems that can address reentry needs and prevent crises that may lead to future justice system involvement. The guidance is informed by research and lessons learned from Bureau of Justice Assistance-funded programs focused on reentry and crisis stabilization for youth and young adults.\n\nThis webinar is presented by The Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center. The CSG Justice Center helps leaders in every state make communities safer and healthier. By combining trusted data\, practical strategies\, and cross-systems collaboration\, we create second chances\, reduce harm\, and transform lives. We help state\, local\, and community leaders in all three branches of government and practitioners across the country identify and implement data-driven solutions for complex justice challenges.
