Our Strategic Plan
In the last six years, we have seen an acceleration of the trends that have defined New York City’s public safety landscape over the last three decades. New York City’s jail population has fallen, major crime has decreased, and police enforcement has lightened. This strategic plan will help guide the creation and implementation of programs and policies to ensure that these trends endure.

We advise the Mayor on solutions to drive down violence, safely reduce justice involvement, modernize the criminal justice system, and build strong and safe neighborhoods.VIEW ALL OUR PROGRAMS

Promoting enhanced, effective coordination among partners in the justice system.
Promoting public safety is the job of law enforcement, but it is also the responsibility of every other agency that interacts with an individual before, during, and after involvement with the justice system. We work closely with New Yorkers inside and outside the government to shape effective criminal justice strategies.VIEW ALL OUR LATEST NEWS
