Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice Title VI Compliance Notice

The Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice gives public notice of its Title VI compliance policy.

The Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice operates in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 1964 (42 U.S.C. § 2000d et seq.,), the U.S. Department of Transportation’s implementing regulations at 23 C.F.R. Part 200 and the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s implementing regulations at 31 C.F.R. Part 22 without regard to race, color and national origin. Any individual who believes they are being excluded from participating in, been denied benefits of, or otherwise being discriminated against because of their race, color, national origin, gender, age, disability, income or limited ability to speak English, has the right to file a formal complaint.

Complaints will be accepted in writing and may be filed with The Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice writing 180 days from the date of the alleged act of discrimination. To file a complaint, please print and mail the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice to the address below.

In addition to your right to file a complaint with the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice, you have a right to file a Title VI complaint with the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice by completing the following form: FCS Complaint and Consent Form (justice.gov) or file a Title VI complaint directly with the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Office of Civil Rights and Diversity by writing to the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Director, Office of Civil Rights and Diversity, 1500 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC 20220, or by calling Treasury at (202) 622-1160, or by sending an email to Treasury via [email protected].
