Benefits Plus Learning Center: Cash Assistance Rental Subsidy Program: FHEPS – 2 CEU
The Family Homelessness and Eviction Prevention Supplement (FHEPS) is a rental subsidy for families with children in NYC who are on Cash Assistance (CA). In this course, we will briefly review key elements of the CA program, including how household size is determined and how income is calculated. We will cover FHEPS eligibility and the FHEPS benefit package, including how the FHEPS subsidy and rent share are calculated.
Please Note: This course will not cover how to fill out a FHEPS application or all eligibility factors of the CA program. Additionally, this course will not cover the CityFHEPS program. For information on the differences between FHEPS and CityFHEPS, click here.
Cash Assistance for Beginners is a recommended prerequisite for all eligibility factors of the Cash Assistance program.
