From Peer to Supervisor: Navigating the Transition with Confidence

August 4 @ 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm
Free

Women in Federal Law Enforcement (WIFLE) is an organization of individuals working together to foster awareness of the value that women bring to law enforcement. WIFLE’s goals include recruitment, retention, and promotion of women in federal law enforcement occupations, and the continued development of an information sharing and support network.

Stepping into leadership isn’t just a promotion—it’s a shift in mindset, responsibility, and influence. Whether you’re preparing to lead or mentoring someone who is, this webinar provides the tools to support a smooth, confident transition.

We’ll cover:

  • Assessing Readiness – How to recognize when you or someone you’re mentoring is ready to lead

  • Performing at the Next Level – Practicing leadership behaviors before the title changes

  • Building Trust and Credibility – Gaining respect and influence as an informal leader

  • Core Leadership Skills – Communication, delegation, conflict resolution, and decision-making

  • Support Systems – Why mentors, coaches, and sponsors matter

  • Leadership Vision – Defining goals and clarifying what success looks like

  • Sustained Growth – Planning for long-term leadership development

Designed for both aspiring leaders and those guiding them, this session offers practical strategies to build confidence and momentum from day one.

This webinar will be considered by the American Jail Association to equal one online learning hour toward certification and recertification for the following programs: Certified Jail Officer, Certified Jail Supervisor and Certified Jail Manager.
