Mobile Crisis Foundations & Capacity Building
This webinar will introduce mobile crisis response as the “someone to respond” component of a coordinated behavioral health crisis continuum. Grounded in SAMHSA’s 2025 National Guidelines for a Behavioral Health Coordinated System of Crisis Care, this session will provide a broad overview of mobile crisis foundations and capacity-building considerations, including how teams are structured and staffed, how responses are assessed and triaged, and how follow-up and quality improvement sustain outcomes over time. The session will help participants understand mobile crisis as part of an integrated system connected to 988 and other crisis lines, 911/dispatch, crisis receiving and stabilization options, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics ( CCBHCs), outpatient providers, emergency responders, peers, families, and community-based partners. This first webinar is intended to build common understanding before later sessions to address mobile crisis models, co-responder approaches, and integration with 988 and community systems.
