JTI Hosts: Center for Urban Community Services: Introduction to Supportive Housing

October 21 @ 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm
Free
Supportive housing combines affordable housing with services designed to help people with behavioral health conditions, histories of homelessness, and other complex needs, including a history of incarceration, achieve long-term stability. Understanding the different housing models and available services is essential for connecting clients to the appropriate options.
In this webinar, the presenter will introduce NYC’s Supportive Housing system, including models, eligibility criteria, provider roles, and services.
Participants will learn how supportive housing promotes housing stability, recovery, and greater independence.
For nearly 50 years, Center for Urban Community Services (CUCS) has advanced lasting stability for individuals and communities by delivering integration housing, healthcare and supportive services rooted in dignity, trust, and human connection. Through a comprehensive, relationship-centered model, CUCS meets people where they are, addressing homelessness, responding to immediate crises, and building pathways to long-term independence. By combining decades of proven outcomes with innovated approaches to care, CUCS transforms lives and sets the standard for how cities can respond to homelessness, mental health challenges, and systemic inequities at scale.
