Social Work & Opioid Response Network: Partnering to Enhance SUD Services

The Opioid Response Network is a free, SAMHSA-funded resource that provides evidence-based education, training, and technical assistance to help communities and organizations respond to opioid, stimulant, and co-occurring substance use and mental health needs. ORN works with more than 40 national partner organizations, including the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and NASW, to connect people with tailored support, practical resources, and local subject matter experts.

Join the Opioid Response Network (ORN) and NASW for a webinar focused on how social workers can partner with ORN to strengthen substance use disorder prevention, treatment, and recovery. The Opioid Response Network is a free, SAMHSA-funded resource that provides evidence-based education, training, and technical assistance to help communities and organizations respond to opioid, stimulant, and co-occurring substance use and mental health needs. ORN works with more than 40 national partner organizations, including the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and NASW, to connect people with tailored support, practical resources, and local subject matter experts. This session will introduce you to how ORN works, what types of technical assistance are available, and how social workers can access support for their organizations and communities, as well as share their own experience and expertise by becoming ORN consultants. Participants will also learn how social workers can play a key role in expanding effective, sustainable SUD services through training, consultation, and implementation of evidence-based practices.
