MOCJ Director Deanna Logan updated the New York City Council today on how NYC is safely reducing the jail population and making progress on closing Rikers Island.

– Speeding up case resolutions
– Investing in community-based programs like Intensive Case Management (ICM) and Project Reset
– Fixing discovery delays & streamlining court dates in partnership with defense counsel, DAs, and the NYPD
