Abusive Partner Intervention Program

The Abusive Partner Intervention Program (APIP) addresses intimate partner violence by educating defendants across the citywide criminal court system. APIP aims to educate participants about the dynamics and effects of intimate partner violence, promoting prosocial, less abusive behaviors and reducing recidivism. APIP employs the Dignity and Respect curriculum, focusing on parenting and offering customization to meet individual needs effectively. Through the Family Module, APIP providers engage fathers and male guardians in developing respectful parenting and guardianship skills, such as positive discipline and mentorship, ensuring relevance and impact for all clients.
